Commander Nick Morgan (voiced by John Cho), a super-soldier, is pursued through the multiverse by Major Mackenzie Cartwright (Ming-Na Wen), a mercenary working for a totalitarian regime, after he discovers a piece of critical technology. Aided by an artificial intelligence named Atlas (Lance Reddick), Morgan jumps between alternate versions of Earth in an effort to escape his pursuers and save the multiverse, encountering a polluted industrial world, a planet where dinosaurs evolved into a humanoid species, and a world dominated by giant fungi.<ref name="gizmodo"/><ref name="awn"/><ref name="animationxpress"/>

''Parallel Man: Infinite Pursuit'' was created by Jeffrey Morris, who founded FutureDude Entertainment in 2010, and grew out of a wider ''Parallel Man'' franchise that had already produced a limited comic book series and a mobile video game.<ref name="awn"/> Morris said he sought a visual style distinct from typical contemporary animation, drawing on the watercolor and gouache backgrounds of televised ''[[Peanuts|Charlie Brown]]'' specials and combining them with modern production techniques.<ref name="awn"/><ref name="syfy"/>
